Why do women endure the discomfort of high heels?

High heels are completely uncomfortable and make walking much more difficult. They are also not really got for our health, they can injure the feet, knees and back. Why do women keep wearing them?
The answer is simply- women in heels are more likely to attract somebody. It make women taller, high heels force the back to arch, pushing the bosom forward.

Why is it legal to drive while eating a burger or drinking coffee, but not while talking on a mobile phone?

There is evidence that while we are using a mobile phone when we are driving, we increase the motorist's likelihood of having an accident. Government led to a ban of using mobile phones in cars. The only way that you can talk with somebody on your telephone is to have a headset that allows hands-free use. Yet drivers may legally engage in other activities that appear to be at least as hazardous- eating fast food, drinking coffee, changing CD/music, even using your cosmetics. But why is using a mobile phone not legal, but putting on make-up is allowed ?
It is possible that mobile phones are more distracting than other activities. A driver who becomes angry during their ride is much more inattentive than somebody who eats a burger. It may cause an accident. Yet talking to another passenger is legal, isn't that the same as talking to somebody using a mobile phone? However passengers may be able tell when traffic conditions dictate interrupting the conversation. Since we can use our mobile phones, but only with headsets, this solution is insufficient.
On the other hand if government would decide to put a ban on burgers and drinks in cars, there would probably be a big fall in demand for these products, because most of them are eaten/drunk in car.
If it is concerns headsets they are profitable for everybody. There is a high demand for this product, because everyone who have a phone has to have this product, therefore they have to buy it. It is also very useful for drivers, because they have both hands free, which makes it less dangerous to talk while they are driving a car.

Why do taxi drivers stop work on rainy days

There are lots of answers for this question. It depends on the way of thinking of drivers, but the most important reason why it is like this is that during a rainy day people prefer to stay at home, they hide in restaurants, supermarkets etc. At this time the demand for taxis decreases, therefore there is no reason why they should work. On the other hand the demand could rise, because its raining and people can't find any place to hide, therefore they order a taxi. However if this assertion "taxi drivers stop work on rainy days" is true, we can deduce that while its raining it is very dangerous on the road, therefore taxi drivers stop their work, because of caution.

Why do women’s clothes button from the left and men’s clothes button from the right?

One option, why it is like that, is because of tradition. Women's clothes buttoning is the opposite to men's.When we move to the time in history when women were allowed to ride horses, it was probably proper for a lady to ride side saddle- she always rode on the left side. This caused a woman's blouses to come open in the wind. So the blouse was changed to button on the opposite sid, so as not to be obscene.

Personally I think that it is made to simplify our lives- if we have two shirts, that are the same for men and women it is easier to find which one belongs to whom.

Why are petrol caps on the driver’s side in some cars and on the passenger’s side in others?

One of the most frustrating experiences of driving a hire car is to pull up at a fuel pump as you would when driving your own car, only to discover that the fuel tank is located on the other side. Car manufacturers could eliminate this difficulty simply by putting petrol caps always on the same side of the car. Why is it like this?

In countries in which motorists drive on the right side of the road, such as the U.S., it is easier to turn right than to turn left across oncoming traffic. A majority of drivers will thus buy fuel at stations they can enter by turning right.
During busy times, all spots on the right sides of pumps would be filled even while most spots on the left sides of pumps remained empty.Suppose fuel tanks were always on the driver's side of the car. Drivers would then have to park on the right side of an open pump in order to fill their tanks.
Putting petrol caps on different sides of different cars means that some cars can access pumps from the left. And this makes it less likely that drivers will have to queue for fuel.

The master of the 3D pavement genre is street artist Kurt Wenner.
It looks like this young man is taking a dangerous leap into the unknown

Unemployment- A global Perspective

Firstly, we have to start by defining what in unemployment, who are they?
An economic condition marked by the fact that individuals actively seeking jobs remain inhered. Unemployment is expressed as a percentage of the total available workforce. The level of unemployment varies with economic conditions and other circumstances. they receive job seeker allounce.
People with jobs are employed, people who are jobless, looking for a job, and available for work are unemployed, people who are neither employed nor unemployed retires, full-time homemakers, full-time students are counted as not in the labour force.
Employment counts part-time and temporary work, you are counted as employed, if you have a work, but did not work for reasons such as vacation or illness.
To be unemployed, one must have actively looked for a job within the period four we ks and be currently available for work.
The bureau defines actively looking for work as including contacting an employer, sending out resumes and checking union or professional job registers.

Unemployment differences are more persistent by population subgroup. The unemployment rate usually is the same for women and men, however for teenagers is different, because its much higher. The rate for African- Americans is generally much more higher than for a whites.

We can divide unemployment into three groups:
1. frictional- due to frictions in labour market- some must seeking for jobs, because their old job ends before an acceptable new ob begins.
2. technological- technological advance means capital is employed to replace labour.
3. structural which we can divide also into 2 part
- occupational- falling demand for labour in one sector where unemployed are unable to move to take up job vacancies in growth sector
- geographical- falling demand for labour in one region where unemployed are unable to move to take up job vacancies in growth regions.

Economic health indicator is the unemployment rate.

Most people who are not working are not counted as unemployment. When you are not the unemployment, that mean that the bureau of Labour statistic doesn't count you, in this situation your have to find a job, so you are a seeking for work.

Another thing that macroeconomics measure is the inflation rate, which appear when the overall price level in the economy rises and it is usually measured by consumer price index. Most economics says that the best inflation rate is when is hit to 2%.

Economy Up or Down?

How to tell if econom is up or down?
Economists have many different types of measuring economic performance which allow as to make historical and international comparisions. In this dayd any of them are perfect, so each must be examined carefully. However there are 3 main ways of measuring e.g. unemployment, inflation and GDP- gross domestic product.
One of the most popular of this three is GDP, which is in the market a value of all final goods and services produced in the economy over a special periodof time, thats mean one year. The gross domestic product does not conut everything which was bought and sold. The GDP statistic compare from country to country , because prices are different from one place to another one and year to year.
The interesting thing is that the USA has got the highest avarage income per persone in the world.
The ecnomy has got lots of ups and downs. Good example of this one, could be a recession, which we can define by a period in which the real GDP falls its can be defined also as - two consetiutive quartes of negative economics growth.
There is a rule of 72, which is the mathematical regularity that when we would divide this number by a growth rate it would be equal to the approximate number of years that it takes something to double.

What economists know about Economics policy

Firstly, we have to start by describing what is Economics and Economics policy. Then we will be able to talk about this.
Economics is the study of how to allocate scarce resources in the most effective way, among alternative uses. Economics policy is formed of fiscal policy(tax and government spending) and monetary policy(interest rates). It begins with the concept of scarcity, which exists whenever your wants or desires exceed your resources or what is available to you. The problem is that the choices involve trade-offs. Then the cost of something is the opportunity cost- next best alternative foregone.
When people make a decision, they think and compare the value of something and the benefit which they will have if they buy it. If they think that the expected benefits are greater than the expected costs, they do it. If it is the opposite, they don't do it.
Most the decisions are made on the margin. This means, they think about whether one should do a little more or a little less of something. We make them all the time. We decide to do more of something when we can get more benefit from it (that's depend).
The interesting thing is with temperature. Most people do not heat their homes as high as 70 degrees. There we can see the opportunity cost. If there is more warmth, they would probably have to spent less money for something else.
The quantity that you desire to buy at each price defines your demand curve- more people want to buy a product when the price of this good is lower, and desire to buy less when is dear.
Each person's demand depends on their budget, ability to pay and willingness to have the good.
If the market is competitive, the price will settle at an equilibrium level where the supply curve and the demand curve intersect.

There are many reasons why market can fail to achieve efficiency e.g. the market can be competitive, there is not an equilibrium etc. The government can change things to make it better, but that does not means that he will do so.

Polish newspaper

During the year, precisely in April 2010, price of houses in UK increased into 10,5%. In April there was a growth by 1%% and houses hit the average price of F 167,802. The reason why this situation is like this is because that people whose want to buy a house for the first time, have to pay 25 % of deposit. There is possibility that in future the price and percentages would equalize.

TAYLOR

He was one of the intellectual leaders of the Efficiency Movement and his ideas, broadly conceived, were highly influential in the Progressive Era. He traited people like machine and because of it he used to say that for high profit staff need good equipment, training, peac rate and organisation.

MAYO

He created Hawthorne effect. It is a beneficial impact on staff workrate and moral on a active, personal interest being shown by management. It comes from Mayos resarches into work place bahavior at a factory at Hawthorne, USA between 19271932.

He was attempting to measure the impact on productivity of improving the lighting conditions within the factory. He followed Taylors scientific principles by testing the changes against a control, a section of the factory with unchanged lighting. Although productivity rose where the lighting was improved, Mayo was suprised to find a similar benefit changes had taken place.

Herzberg

Herzberg asked people about times when they felt good in their work. He shown that the key determinants of job satisfaction were Achievement, Recognition, Work itself, Responsibility and Advancement.

He also found that key dissatisfiers were Company policy and administration, Supervision, Salary, Interpersonal relationships and Working conditions.

What interested him the most was that these were different groups.

He has discovered that the employ need to be paid on time each month so I can pay my bills. If I am not paid on time, I get really unhappy. But when I get paid on time, I hardly notice it.

On the other hand, when my boss gives me a pat on the back, I feel good. I don't expect this every day and don't especially miss not having praise all of the time.

He also wrote many books, but one of them become very famous- "One more time: how do you motivate employees?"

More fly

Minister of the EU transport schedules that they have to divide the atmosphere into 3 parts , otherwise all fly would be halted. They said that everything have to be restored soon, because all EU is stopped. The decision about bring back fly was made during a EU convention. The result of this conference was that the area where dust is cruising nowadays would be unmitigated closed. In the second area fly can be restart, but after few days, because right now we make lots of experiments, to be sure that everything is clear, and the plane would be safety. In third part all would be normal, because the dust is just above EU.

summary

Abraham Elijah Maslow, one of the most remarkable psychologist in the World.
He is noted for his conception of a "hierarchy of human needs". He studied such people as Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Jane Addams, and Frederick Douglass, writing that "the study of crippled, stunted, immature, and unhealthy specimens can yield only a cripple psychology and a cripple philosophy." Maslow also studied the healthiest 1% of the college student population.

Maslow has created a hierarchy of five levels of basic needs. Beyond these needs, higher levels of needs exist. In the levels of the five basic needs, it is said that the person does not feel the second need until the demands of the first have been satisfied, nor the third until the second has been satisfied, and so on.
Hierarchy of needs is often portrayed in the shape of a pyramid, with the largest and lowest levels of needs at the bottom.

Why it is better to wash your hands when you get home?

"Cold viruses can all too easily be passed on by hands- so that door handle going into public loos or that pole in the could be the worst possible thing to touch" says Professor Ron Eccles, director of the Common Cold Centre.
It is always better to clean your hands often. You have to remember to don't touch e.g. your eyes when your hands are dirty, because rubbing eyes can be an entry point for any virus. But regular hand washing is still your best defence against catching the current lurgy doing the rounds.

What do you do during the breaks?

While you are watching television , sit on an exercise ball and do some exercise. They can help you avoid everything from back ache to dangerous falls. You can do what ever you want to. Starting from this ball, finishing just in setting and doing some exercise, but remember that break don't have to be always a break for a toilet or drink/ eat. You can do lost of more useful thing during this time.

When is the bet time to buy shoes?

Nick Masucci, who is a pediatric surgeon at New Victoria Hospital says that if we want to buy shoes it would be better for our wallet, to go shopping ate the end of the day. Feet swell continuously from the moment you wake due to heal and blood pooling with gravity, so buy them later means you are trying on shoes when your feet are biggest that at the morning

ALWAYS WEAR HEELS

Many people's foot, leg and back problems are ca used by wearing flat or no shoes at all. It is better for your health to wear heels. They don't have to be high, but comfortable. BUT HOW HEELS CAN BE COMFORTABLE?? You just have to used with it, there are not any logical answers, but the reason why it would be better for you is that they takes the stress out of your knees and tendons. They also encourage you to stand with straighter legs, but if you are tired, your legs would not be straight, I'm right? Probably flip flops and flats induce a knock-kneed gait and transfer stress up your spine.

What do you normally do, when you brush your teeth?

If you want to work the deep core muscles in your abdomen which protect your back, you can stand on one leg. Tim Hutchful- chiropractic and ergonomic consultant in Leicester says that lots of people never work these deep muscles, and this is the perfect opportunity to give them a short but effective workout. The other idea how you can do it, is to standing on the opposite leg for one minute during the brushing, then reverse. The more variation you put in, the better result you would have.

DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER?

Have you ever thought before why you have a headache after a long time of lounging about?
The reason is easy. Migraines used to be referred to as"weekend headaches, because they had often hit on weekend morning. During the weekend we completely change our sleep pattern. Suddenly we sleep more, we go to bed very late, we don't care, because we don;t have to go to job next day. This is normal, majority of as have mode like that, but this has got dramatic effect on the hypothalamus part of your brain, which is responsible for your balance homophones which can cause a headaches. After night you are probably tired, so then you decide to drink a coffee. Lots of people think that is not healthy to drink coffee after a long dream, but as you can you have to do the same schedule as you do every single days. After fee hours you can feel tried, then the most important thing is to have a nap. That would give you more energy for the rest of your day.

"If you want to fool us, don't treat us like idiots"

Some time ago, here was very loudly about a politician on the campaign trail and his gaffe ahead millions of people. When he was standing on a footage, holding a microphone in his hands, his colleague have made a mistake ad he messing up the whole photo- opportunity. After that everything started. The politician said to him- "It's the symbolism we are after". He though that he was whispering, but unfortunately he doesn't. The microphone proliferate what he said and the secret strategy was revealed. Luckily their campaign haven't stopped, they decided to still fight, despite that the performance was very embarrassing. The have also agree that the election campaigns are about sleight of hand and sly persuasion. They said that the idea the election is to give people information witch their need to vote for, this is normal that during this time we can find lots of political billiards with special slogans, but it is just to interest more, enough for vote. Not all of them are often badly misjudged, like Gordon Brown poster which says - " I increase the gap between poor and rich" could cause dyed-in-the-wool Conservatives.

How to plan marketing?

"Marketing strategy is a series of integrated actions leading to a sustainable competitive advantage"

Hundreds of external and internal factors interact to affect their ability to achieve their objective. The most important person in this area of business is a manager. They have to think rationaly in marketing decisions, but also they have to be very care full.
The essence of marketing planning to the success of an organisation is to analyse "needs". It more concerned with identifying what sales is going to made in the longer term and to whom.
There are two principal kinds of marketing plan:
1. The strategic marketing plan.
That means a plan for three or more years. It is a written document showing how managers perceive their own position in the market relative to their competitors, what is their strategy, budget, etc. For as three year of the strategy plan is most common, but five years is the longest one, which is not so comfortable because of the changes in technological and environment. The interesting think in this one thing is that Japanese plan is for 50-200 years, which for me is completely unusefull.
The second one- the tactical plan is just for one year, but this kind of planing is made for a strategic plan, but this one is more detailed.
The important think witch a manager can decide to do is a marketing research. They don't have to agree to make it, but it is more useful for making decision and also important for a strategy.

Successful marketing planning is the cornerstone of developing strong, and durable organisations. It's can be essential if performance is to be optimised and long term goals are to be achieved.

If Carlsberg did strikes... workers walk out over drinking ban

Beer deliveries around Copenhagen were interrupted this week after hundred of Carlsberg workers walked out when the brewer tightened rules on workplace drinking and removed beer coolers from work sites. The warehouse and production workers in Denmark are protesting against the new company policy for alcohol. This one company allows peoples to drink beer during their lunch break, but the most important point is that they can't be drunk were they are working, or that they can not drive the car after beer lunch. The drivers can bring beers from canteen because they often do not have time to have lunch there.
8th of April all refrigerators with beer were removed and now the only one place where you can buy beer is canteen.
Wednesday up to 800 workers went on strike, because of the redundance (350 walked off their jobs)

Interesting advert.

On Tuesday the Microsoft's image started circulating online. In the original version of this photo we see tree employees sitting around a meeting table - one white woman, and two men, one black and one Asian.
The most interesting think is that when it was used in Poland they had to replaced the head of the black person witch face was done really badly. They have change the black man into white one. However, his one visible hand was unchanged, so the possibility that people would see this change was 100%. The absurd is that this was the advert which promised Polish businesses the chance to "to boost your employees using the right tools" .
Now, Microsoft took down the image and said it was trying to discover who was responsible.
The only one reason why they did this change in color of skin was that Polish peoples aren't used to live with black peoples, because in our population there is just a small group them, which live in our country.

Polish air plane catastrophe near Smoleńsk

President Lech Kaczynski and other 85 senior Polish figures have been killed in a plane crash in Russia, near Smoleńsk. Nobody survived from this catastrophy.

The Polish delegation was flying from Warsaw to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre of thousands of Poles by Soviet during the second Word War. The cause of this crash was that the pilot of the airoplane coudn't land, because of the fog which was drifting in the air. The pilot ignoredadvice from air traffic cintrol to try to land in other aiport, but he decided to try the fourth time andthen they got caught up in the tops of trees, fell to the ground and broke up.

On board as well as the President and his wife, Maria, a number of senior officals wre on the passenger list (the army chief of staff Gen Franciszek Gagor, central bank governor Slawomir Skrzypek and deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Kremer.

We must agree that this event was the most hardfull for Poland after ll Word War. We can that in holl history (of course after wars) there was never the catastrophe like this, that in the same time - the same air plane died the mojority of inteligence.

World leaders including Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown offered their condolences to Poland.

Does it was an accident or it was planned, we don't know, but the probability that it is a accident is bigger.

And again life gives as cruel emotion...

National catastophe.....

Healthcare around the world

One of the countries in the world in which we can notice mixed economies is United States. In society which counts about 45,7 million people 15.3% do not have health insurances.
Federal government is largest health care insurer- involved in two main schemes, Medicaid and Medicare. Most doctors are in private practice and private hospitals.
US scored the highest place in expenditure on health % DGP. Their system make them independent, they can choose between many options- where, why they want to invest they many, but with this situation attached life expectancy and birth in US- is smaller than in other countries.

UK- has got also mixed economies, but there is just about 11% private health insurance. Private GP service very small. Health care free at point of delivery. There we can find free ambulance service and access to accident and emergency. United Kingdom just after infant morality per 1,000 live births in research.

The third one country is France with social insurance system. Public health insurance funded by compulsory social health insurance contributions form employers and employees with no option to opt out. Most peoples have extra private insurance and many make out of pocket payments to see a doctor. Doctors in public hospitals are salaried whilst those in private are paid on a fee-for service basis. In some of public hospitals doctors are allowed to treat patients in the hospital.
We can also say that is a mixed economies.

Last one is Singapore with dual system- private and public sectors. Public sector provides 80% of hospital care 20% primary care. They are financed by combination of taxes, employee medical benefits etc. It's a little bit different then in our country, because in Singapore patients expected to pat part of their medical expenses and to pay mare for higher level of service. We can say that this one system is also mixed economies, but in the other hand it could be also commanded economies.

Why are newspapers, but not soft drinks, sold in vending machines that allow customers to take more than they paid for?

The answer is really logic, if there would be instead of newspapers- soft drinks, after small period of time, the vending machine would be empty. If you buy a newspaper you want just one, you don’t need another. There is no reason why somebody take more than one, but when is concerned with drink is different. Soft drink is more expensive, so if there is any possibility to take not one, but 3, 4 or more, why not? That something witch is important for as, our health, what we have to buy, the opposite is with newspaper, it’s just a “want”, you can live without it.
To sum up, we can say that drinks in vending machines is uneconomic for company.

Why do 24-hour convenience stories have lock on their doors?

The answer should be easy, when you want to buy the door, you don’t have to buy this one with lock, that true, but there are such situation that bull you to close them, like holiday, every events. If shop is open 24-hour every per day, that doesn't mean that he can be never closed. In Poland market, which function like this- open all day, they are close at night, there is only small window thought which you can buy things you need to buy, at night.
It is always better to have a lock, it’s more comfortable and useful.

Why are child safety seats required in cars but not in the airoplane

The easiest answer would be that in the aeroplane is to small space, and if just six person will have with them a special safety seat for their child, there probably would be to tightly. When you travel by your car, you have to concentrate on your drive, so child have to be in special seats, opposite to
an aeroplane when during the fly, suddenly can start the turbulence. But in this situation parents are near their kids, so they would be able to hold them, for they safety.

Strange question part2

Why do the keypad buttons of drive-up cash machines have braille dots?

My first idea for answer it was that they just have to , it's a matter of respect, but actually this machine use are drivers, none of them are blind. However, there exist in, but why? The producers made them just to not discriminate the rest of society, but i was also cheaper to make all machines the same way.

Why Braille on drive-up ATMs? Why do brides spend so much? Frank's latest book, 'The Economic Naturalist,' provides intriguing answers

Strange question

Why is there a light in your refrigerator, but not in your freezer?

Certainly, all of us have a fridge, we can see that the light is just in refrigerator, but not in freezer, that mean that we don't need light in this part of fridge. Normally, the door of refrigerator we open frequently than this from freezer. If we will have also a light in this second part of fridge we would have to pay more, because we use more electricity. This is just an extra costs, so I think that anybody would like to have it in their freezer.

DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER?

Why are whales, but not chickens, in danger of extinction?

Firstly, we have to say that supply of chicken is much more higher that whales. Our society need a lot of chickens meat, but this is not a problem. In all country, there are many farms, so for next generation we have to wait just like 2 weeks, but with whales is completely different. First of all, we must to ascertain that we don't need, or we don't eat meat which come from whales. Also, life of one generation of this animal is much more expensive to maintain, than chicken one. For conclusion, we may say that supply of whales is inelastic, like water, petrol ect.

Why are brown eggs more expensive than white ones, in many countries?

In this days substitutes which are more rarely than others, are expensive. If the subject is concerned about eggs, the answer is really easy. How can we find it f.ex – in our super market we can see probably only white eggs, if we will find brown ones, that’s mean that this market is just very well equipped.
The most important point is this that our farm produce more white eggs, because they are cheaper and they are “produce” by a normal chicken, but the brown ones are from a special kind of chicken. If our economy want to change this situation of producing brown eggs, they have just to growth population of this kind of animal, then in our supermarket we would see more brown eggs.
In this question we can see that we don’t talk about all the countries in the world, but majority of them. It is because of that in some countries production of brown eggs is in the higher level than the rest.

TRY TO FIND AN ANSWER

DVDs are the same size as Cd's. So why is the size of the packaging different?

As we can see in our house, super market etc, the difference between this two packet is always the same, do we know why does it look like this?

Probably this situation is just because that DVD’s needs an advert on the packet, we can say that CD’s need it also, but less than a DVD’s packet- they have more pictures, information etc.

In the other hand, we can say that the “history” concerned different size of the packaging was created several years ago and this is just a tradition.

If we will look at this from an economics point of vieu, we could say that it is just a wonder to growth the gain.

Why do most popular book's and CD's sell for less than the least popular book's and CD's but we see the opposite in the cinema price.

In our days the number of peoples who goes to the cinema have growth, probably just because of that our society is more humanistic, or just want to be. So I think that is normal that cinema launching to growth the price of the ticket.

If it is concerned about books and Cd's, the demand for them is smaller. Today if I want to hear a special kind of music, a CD of a band which do I like, I can take it from the net, there are lots of special site from where do we can downland them. The another thing is with books, if they are popular, they are project in the cinema, so more of society don’t need at all to buy them. The opposite is with least popular book, because people want to read it, so the sell for them growth.

Break even

Important formula
Fixed costs/unit contribution

Unit contribution = selling price - variable costs

There is break even simulator

WHY?

Have you ever noticed that in every pubs in the world peanuts are free, but if you want water you have to pay?. I think that this look like this just because peanuts are salty and after when you will eat it, your organism probably will need to drink something. This isn't the only way to answer this question. In the other hand, peanuts are the "partner" of beer, so conclusion of it could be like this - if there would be enough of peanuts, peoples for sure would buy more beer ;)

aggregate demand

Today we talked about aggregate demand
AD = G + C + I (X - M)
We need to know the four macroeconomics aims of government policy.
1. reduce unemployment
2. reduce inflation
3. balance of payment
4. growth
There are three policies
1. fiscal
2. monetary policy
3. supply side
There are five key diagrams and they all use aggregate demand and aggregate supply

We can see that there is a lot of variety concerned of colours of cabs in our world, f.ex in New York we can find just yellow cabs, there is no possibility to find them somewhere else. In UK is the same, in London are only black ones, in special models. Special cabs we can see in Barcelona- black & yellow taxi etc. There are many examples of this event.

Why is it like this?

I think, that the answer isn't difficult. To understand it properly, we can compare cabs to the architecture, traditional food & clothes etc. Cabs just are something which character our capital/country. If we will think about New York, probably the first picture in our mind , likelihood we will see the yellow cabs, does it strange?

Have you ever thought before about how does Facebook make money?

Probably, all of users of the Internet have ever noticed any advertisements that exist on the side of the page. Precisely, this advert make money, because companies pay Facebook a big fee for these advert that reach millions of peoples on this site a day.

Today, Facebook is a free service. For the first argument to stay free is that the company can generate money through these advertisements, for the second, we have to think if peoples would pay every times when they will want to use this site, I am sure that NOT. If it's free everybody can and want to have f.ex. his own profile/blog etc.

The Facebook cooperation makes money off the advertisements that they have plastered throughout their entire social website.
We have to remember also that the fact that Facebook is making any money might come as a surprise to some, contrary to some the social networking sites that have real money.

One of the most important think that make the many are gifts and other virtual property that users can buy and give each other, f.ex Myspace was boasting that and it was making almost $1m a day, just for selling adverts on their homepage. This fact can be funny, but this is a true history, the same is with Facebook.

Do you know how does Facebook make money?

If you are one of the users of this site, you should know it.

Why is Facebook more popular than Google?

In our days Facebook become one of the most visited website, the worst calamity is in the United States, were million of peoples turn to the social networking site to play online games. where there is more than 400 million of regular users. This event is not only weighted in US, but also in more countries. One of the most chocking information is that not only teenager's used to use it for all days, but also oldest peoples, isn't strange?

Now, come back to our question, why Facebook is more popular?

This site is just more popular in US where the market share of visits increased 185 per cent last week comparing in the same week in 2009. During this same period of time Google.com increased just 9 per cent.
I have to underline one really important aspect, situation where Facebook site is more popular than Google ones is just in the US, in the UK is always a distance between this to network. Maybe because of that Google's market share of Internet search is so much greater.

In my opinion, popularity of using Facebook will stop in some years, as I remember this same was with Myspace.com and other websites.

Why do female models earn so much more than male models?

Why do it looks like it?
At the lest times media abounds stories of earnings witch is based on gender.
But there are some reason, i think that nobody seams to be upset about this fact.

I have to noted that female models have to do much more work, than male models, f.ex. they have to wear more, sit in a hair and makeup chair for hours. With man it's less to do, it's less work.

In my opinion, this type of work is just one of the industry where women earn more than men. No one seems to cry out about the injustice.

lesson 1

We discussed about demand, supplies and equilibrium. If demand increases ten supplies extends. The interaction of demand and supplies if called the price mechanize

We also discussed opportunity cost. There is a video about this
here , and another one below

We also talked about economic growth, unemployment and the balance of payments (in my text book this is chapter 4)

US industrial output rises again

I think that suprising is that the US industrial production has increased for the eighth month in a row, beating expectations of a fall.

Levels of production were "held down somewhat by winter storms in the Northeast" according to the Federal Reserve, which publishes the data.
Overall industrial output was up 0.1% in February, compared with January.
In the same period the manufacturing sector fell 0.2%, but the output of mines rose 2% and the index for utilities went up by 0.5%.
The production of consumer goods fell 0.4% in February, much of it because of a 4.4% decline in the car sector.

"The underlying trend in output is still rising," said chief of US economist at High Frequency Economics, explaining that surveys of the manufacturing sector point to stronger gains ahead.

"Whatever happens to the monthly numbers, the level of output is still hugely depressed relative to the pre-Lehman position."
Relative to a year ago, industrial production was 1.7% higher in February this year than February 2009.
